My Comica/Observer Entry in Full
So, now that the competition is over (sort of) I’ll post my full comic here for everyone to read. I had much fun reading through the other entries on the Comica website. I’m sad to see that my favourite one, by up and coming student illustrator Hannah Simpson, isn’t in the finalists, I thought it was so sweet and lovely! You can read it here.
Anyway, mine is about some children who came to stay when I was very little, I wanted to do a comic or illustration about them, or to them even, so the competition was convenient for me in that sense, I’m very glad I did it. My only regret of not winning is that it won’t be widely read, I had thought that there might be a tiny chance that the children from my past might somehow read it and get back in touch.
